 Executive Producer/ Director

Specializing in long and short form content. Development and production of video/promo projects.

  • Created “The Here After”, a scripted true crime podcast profiling and showcasing the lasting after effects of teen gun violence on families. Developed concept, wrote treatment, led pitch to various outlets, and it will be featured at the Tribeca Film Festival NOW Creators Market 2019.
  • Produced, directed, and edited a package on mental health for GMA Day on ABC that got 380k + views on You Tube.
  • Created and wrote a documentary film treatment, “Let the Light In” that was invited to be pitched at Tribeca Film Festival NOW Creators Market 2019.
  • Created “Versus”, an in depth take on the celebrity interview show, with an innovative twist.
  • Conceived and created online brand Breakupedia (; authored daily blog, raised initial seed funding, guided creation of brand identity, developed social media/SEO strategy, and wrote/directed promo videos and infomercials. Also authored book on the same subject.

Served as sole showrunner. Co-wrote, produced and directed 28 episodes per year (a total of 56 interviews) with $600K+ budget over a period of 13 years. Led a geographically dispersed team of 9 plus a 6-member production crew in LA. Created promotional strategies and content from 2010 to 2017. Held two concurrent production roles during this time: Producer, 106& Gospel (2008 to 2009) and Producer, Video Gospel (2004-2011).

  • Rebranded and reinvigorated the show 4 separate times over 13 years; grew ratings every year from 2010 to 2017, despite declining overall network ratings; achieved double-digit gains in key demos.
  • Transformed gospel video show into uplifting and inspirational documentary-style production that provided deep insights into the hearts and souls of famous guests including Michelle Obama, Tyler Perry, Queen Latifah, LL Cool J, Vanessa Williams and Floyd Mayweather; hired external talent bookers to achieve these successes.
  • Evolved the show to reach a younger demographic and added social media integration that drove engagement of up to 98%; the social media strategy earned recognition company-wide as a template for other shows.
  • Expanded the mission of the show, moving from a focus on traditional Christianity to a broader focus on faith and redemption; created a safe haven that attracted diverse talent and successfully grew the audience.
  • Built top-performing, highly engaged team who were motivated to excel; established open communication channels and empowered each team member to contribute at a high level.
  • Established systems and processes to manage team located in multiple states, and leveraged online tools including Basecamp and Trello to ensure all deadlines were met.
  • Maximized limited budget by carefully controlling costs, establishing a roster of trusted vendors and crew members, and crafting flexible, highly efficient production strategy.
  • Became the only show on BET network to secure a sought-after interview with Michelle Obama, doggedly nurturing a cold contact lead for 5 months in order to succeed.

  • Forged strategic alliances with outside digital publications to continually reach new audiences.

Produced promotional videos for a wide range of high-profile clients including Pfizer, Burger King, Showtime, EA Sports, Motorola, BMW, Johnson& Johnson and Miramax.

  • Researched, wrote and directed multiple documentary style promos for new movies; worked directly with movie studio heads to produce 25+ promos and 6 infomercials.
