Served as sole showrunner. Co-wrote, produced and directed 28 episodes per year (a total of 56 interviews) with $600K+ budget over a period of 13 years. Led a geographically dispersed team of 9 plus a 6-member production crew in LA. Created promotional strategies and content from 2010 to 2017. Held two concurrent production roles during this time: Producer, 106& Gospel (2008 to 2009) and Producer, Video Gospel (2004-2011).
Rebranded and reinvigorated the show 4 separate times over 13 years; grew ratings every year from 2010 to 2017, despite declining overall network ratings; achieved double-digit gains in key demos.
Transformed gospel video show into uplifting and inspirational documentary-style production that provided deep insights into the hearts and souls of famous guests including Michelle Obama, Tyler Perry, Queen Latifah, LL Cool J, Vanessa Williams and Floyd Mayweather; hired external talent bookers to achieve these successes.
Evolved the show to reach a younger demographic and added social media integration that drove engagement of up to 98%; the social media strategy earned recognition company-wide as a template for other shows.
Expanded the mission of the show, moving from a focus on traditional Christianity to a broader focus on faith and redemption; created a safe haven that attracted diverse talent and successfully grew the audience.
